Wow! Love this shot too. The framing of the bridge within bridge is brilliant. And the colors. Fantastic. (I was out of town last week, and never did get around to looking at everyone’s photos)
The Golden Gate bridge has always been painted in International Orange, a dark orange color. The name “Golden Gate” derives from the location rather than the bridge itself.
I, too, am a fan of the framing on this one. How cool that you were able to frame it with a bridge with similar coloring. I also love seeing the foothills in the background. That’s not as widely a publicized view as the typical shots.
Well, darn, it appears too late to add a comment to your Presidio Pet Cemetery post. That was truly appropriate for Memorial Day, and it made me think of some of cats from the past. I truly enjoyed that post.

A view of the Golden Gate Bridge at its 75th anniversary, framed by the newly rebuild Doyle Drive / Presidio Parkway.

Why the heck it’s called “golden” ? to me it’s a red bridge
maybe the gold is gone with the economic crisis !

What a neat perspective.

Why is the Golden Gate painted red? Like the perspective though. And the linky seems to be working great.

That beam in the middle and the surrounding orange fence (at the bottom of the picture) mark the Presidio Pet Cemetery. You can read about it here.

«Louis» took the liberty of linking this fine post to Sunday Bridges…

I have never seen it from this point of view. Nice framing. It almost looks like you have two views of the bridge in one picture.
