A favorite sculpture of mine in a favorite retro 1960s/1970s modernist plaza here in San Francisco. I have featured it before, though perhaps only in close-up.
This photo was taken with a particularly fun Hipstamatic film and lens setting. It works great for geometric and linear subjects that I often feature, but I suspect it is lousy for portraits or natural scenes.
Wish I knew as much about a camera as you do. But I don’t have the patience to learn stuff like that. That is a great picture and a great subject to. Thanks for showing us.
How lovely! I’m excited as tomorrow is internatinal museum day so I’m off to the Prado, thiessen and Reina Sofia. Will tell you all about it when i get back to Malaysia!
«Louis» has somehow missed this sculpture at Maritime Plaza. Your treatment of the image heightens the effect of the geometry in the sculpture! Neat shot!

The filter adds even more texture to an already vivid piece. The yellowing makes it look very old, or from another world…

I’m beginning to get Hipstamatic envy. I love my droid, but I love the Hipsta effects. Very cool sculpture.

It almost looks like you had a double exposure of the picture. It’s neat if you did it digitally.
