My photo was actually from April 1, when OccupySF took over 888 Turk Street in San Francisco. It turns out that the afternoon march here ended with them re-taking the same building (they were kicked out in early April). That is still going on, unsure how it will turn out. I was not able to go to this, but I did go to the earlier noontime event downtown.
A lot of the events today were overshadowed by a march in the Mission District last night that was not associated with or endorsed by any local occupy or labor groups and caused a lot of vandalism. It’s quite sad, both because I like the area that was targeted and it tarnished the reputation of the movement.

Cool pics, Amar. I was actually going to email you today to see how May Day was going in SF.

Yes, I was sad to read about what happened in the Mission District.
