This was taken a few weeks ago along the Central Waterfront in San Francisco (not too far from Pier 70 that was featured in previous Wordless Wednesdays). This series of vacant lots, shoreline and buildings was quite rich in terms of photographic possibilities. I’m sure I’ll be back there again.
What I find interesting about the shot is the artistic drive represented by the graffiti. When our world is all wires and angles, we have the urge to embellish it with colors and curves.
Interesting picture. It has a derelict feel and then,
there is the graffiti which is colourful and almost looks out of place
That’s a lot of hanging wires too

Places like that make great photographic subjects. I didn’t know a place that existed.

All those wires , pylon , crane … i would call this a very ‘masculine’ shot !
And that graffiti looks so interesting too …

P.S.have also put up one more for WW today .

The title serves it well.
Very good shot.

This is the second photograph I’ve seen this WW which brings hops to mind, this one more so because of the wires, the other was only frame work.

I agree with JamericanSpice: Your title describes the image perfectly.

Perfect caption for the shot.

All the shapes put together remind me of a big ship!

Actually, what I’m drawn to most is the graffiti – that middle one especially seems to almost become a tunnel opening, beckoning the viewer in.

Great shot. I like the way the different wires look in this shot and I also like the graffiti.

Interesting and creative view

Now I’m going to wonder, what ARE they doing with all of those wires?
Great shot.

Interesting pictures. Those wires look kinda scary.
If they weren’t hydro wires (or similar), kitties will have a ball playing with them, if they were on the ground.

Those things are huge-but my eyes went straight to the vibrant graffiti below. Some while ago some kids had some fun under all that big stuff.
