This photo shows part of the Wave Organ, a sculpture along the waterfront where the action of the wave interacts with a series of pipes to produce very musical sounds. It was an added stop at the end of the SF Thomassons Performance Tour which I reviewed yesterday.

The wave organ is most unusual looking.
I bet the sound would be most interesting
We have a sculpture along our waterfront that looks like a …wave
(or a giant tongue to some people) hahaha
It does not “do” anything except provide a place for kids to try to climb

I’ve never seen nor heard of such a thing, but it sounds very fascinating. This is a lovely shot – the textures and contrast are so interesting.

I have heard of this place, but never seen it myself. I can almost imagine the sound it makes during a foggy day.
