It is an interesting building. Building for ‘artists’. It’s kinda sad that they’re demolishing it. Wonder what they’re going to do when the building’s gone.

It was at one time a huge fish (tuna) processing plant.

The property is owned by the California Department of Transportation (aka CalTrans) – it is my understanding that they are responsible for demolishing it.

A very interesting photo! I have to say it makes me a little sad, though, to see old buildings demolished, especially when they have any sort of historic merit. Preservation and recycling is always preferable to more ugly new buildings, IMO.

That looks very similar to a building downtown here.
The power corp.(NSP) is gutting an old structure and will incorporate
some remaining parts into a new office tower.
