I’m not gay (and as far as I know, neither is Luna), but this is a basic issue of fairness, and of reason triumphing over old prejudices. I’ve been pretty outspoken out this in posts at CatSynth. And while there’s no way to know if this is why our site was attacked, we are going to stand up for what we believe in…
…even if it has nothing to do with cats or synthesizers.

I’m another Californian who is not gay. But I was shocked at the outcome of that vote. The advertisements opposing the measure all discussed teaching gay marriage to young children, and cited a teacher who took first graders to a lesbian marriage as a field trip, without letting parent’s opt out. While I think teaching gay marriage to young children in elementary schools is ridiculous I think it’s equally ridiculous that voters allowed themselves to be so grossly mislead by the TV commercials. I believe that the courts will overturn it eventually though.
Practically every year in Toronto, there is a parade that occurs in the summer – Pride Parade. The turnout have always been huge, and it seems like more and more people attend every year.
There’s a lot of dressing up, very similar to a regular parade – even clowns. The main message, other than having fun, is acceptance. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like, gender preference, etc. People are people, and deserves to be treated with respect and equality. I personally don’t care if someone’s straight or not, as long as they don’t harm anyone or any animals. There – my quarter cent worth (economy is getting a touch worse).
Gay, straight, all we need is love — let’s hope movements and organizations like Join the Impact can help turn up the volume, and remove the occlusion effect!

I was very surprised that California voted to ban gay marriage. I hope it is overturned.

It was a sad day when this stupid law passed. My hope is the courts will overturn this slap in the face of equality for all.
